Antigone set design
2016
As part of a project in my first year at Rochester UCA on Design for Theatre, Film and Performance I designed and made a model box for a set of Haemon's bedroom to fit into one of the rooms in the university.
I chose to set my version of Antigone in modern day Greece after a series of riots, so Haemon takes the role of a riot police commander. The set is of a makeshift barracks set up in the catacombs of an ancient building, creating a tight, shadowy environment. I included painted on crack lines around the front of the stage area to give the effect that the room was once burred under the venue and had been partially uncovered.
Foamcore, card, acrylic paint
